Windows startup problem

Was having problems with sys/restore and was helped to fix it by posts on
this newsgroup. Howevevr, now everytime I switch on I get to a page which
asks me to choose between running XP home edition or Windows XP setup. At
one point all my screen settings were going wrong and new hardware for
everything including ide- bus you name it was showing as having been found,
luckily as sys/restore was now working I managed to get back to normal other
than the message mentioned.Help!

Hi Kath,

Start/run C:\boot.ini

Remove the line that references the setup (assuming that's the line you
don't want) from the [operating systems] section.
