Windows start

Bitech

Windows tries to start IE and loads several blank IE pages upon boot..Random
headers--ie: ISP Providers, Search Results etc. Sometimes one page, some
times MANY. Will not clear. Sometimes sends error reports. Most of the time
PC freezes and the only way to solve problem is to re-boot by powering off
the Power Center strip. The problem may or may not occur next boot. I DON'T
use IE as a browser--Firefox.

Any ideas would be helpful
Thanks

Try tapping the F8 key on pc start, select safe-mode,in xp open internet
options, edit the tabs & set firefox as browser, you could open add/remove
programs,windows components,uncheck internet explorer.
