windows start up problem, need help

When I log on to windows xp, "windows media player" comes
up automatically, How do I stop this from happening.

Look in.....

Documents and Settings/"Username"/Start Menu/Programs/Startup. Right click
Media Player and you will see it is a shortcut. Delete it.

"Username" is your name.
