Windows SP3

I keep seeing mention of Win XP SP3. I have SP2, but haven't seen a
download from MS for a SP3. Am I missing something, or did MS slip it in on
one of their automatic updates?

Windows XP SP3 is not released yet. It's in pre-release. If you install
it - you take the risk of losing everything on your machine. However - you
do that by even having a machine... In any case - when it is released - you
will get it through whatever update mechanism you utilize in Windows XP. Be
patient.

You're not missing anything. It hasn't been released yet, but it's
expected soon.

Thanks to all replies. The last thing I need is to screw up my PC. I was
nervous on the SP2 update.

Since you do not want to screw up your pc, I suggest that you wait at
least a month before you install SP3 once it is released. If you remember
after the SP2 release it rendered pc's with a prescott cpu useless until a
bois update was offered. I have no doubt something similar will happen with
SP3.
