Windows shutting down

Using Windows XP Home and Firefox browser. Periodically windows shuts down
after displaying message "Windows will now shut down". What causes this and
how can it be avoided?
 
System Event Log:
Left-click My Computer | Manage | +Event Viewer | System
Look for red circle(s) with white X in the middle of it (them)
Record the number listed in the "Event" column

Run Disk Clean Up by Double clicking your My Computer and then right click
your Partition C:\ and select properties from the list.
On the Properties click on Disk Clean Up and check all check boxes and click
[OK].

To access the Event Viewer do the following:
Open a run command and type in:
eventvwr.msc click [OK]
On the Event viewer Click on al this three one-by-one and look on the right
Pane/window for any error messages(X):
Application
System
Security
To get more info about the causer double click the error Number to get more
info and you can copy and paste in your next post HERE and the exact wording
please.
