Computer Shutting Down

Using Win EP Home and Firefox Browser. Periodically (couple times a day
every few days) the computer shuts down (turns completely off) with no
prompting from me. The monitor does not turn off. All power settings are set
to never turn off the hard drive or the monitor. Is there some setting that
can be set to shut the computer down at certain intervals that has been
mistakenly activated that I can turn off?

Thanks for the reply. Fans are working well and there does not seem to be
excess heat or a hot smell. Do not have autoshutoff software installed that
I know of. Is there shutoff software that comes with Win EP? How can I check
to see if there is some type of shutoff software or program on the computer?

Check your Event logs
The bios may be configured to shutdown at a specific temp, not a win option
