You have AOL. That *is* the problem.

Why do you say it is AOL? Should I not be using it anymore?

AOHell does add some extra problems to your system, but look here.
Right click on "my computer" and select properties, next click on the
"advance tab"
under "startup and recovery" click the settings button, now under the heading
"system failure" if the box that says "automatically restart" is checked
then uncheck it and ok your way out.
Hope this helps!

Hey Mike,
As soon as I get home from work I will check this out. Thanks so much for
the info.
My DSL line broke and I have been using dial up. I have found that the
problem has increased using dial up. I have a SONY Viao Computer but it is 3
years old. Yesterday I opened it up and cleaned it. It works fine most of the
time but the shut downs drive me crazy.
Thanks again.
Marty
