windows shows 2 processors

i have a hp pavillion with pentium 4 processor with hyper thread technology.
in windows it shows there are 2 processors, why?

Because Hyperthreading simulates two processors.

Because that's what hyperthreading does. It makes a single processor
look like two.

Because you have a Pentium 4 CPU with Hyper-Threading. ;-}
