Windows Safe Mode Frozen - Can't select any options/frozen keys?

Well I accidentally downloaded a program for windows 98/ME (Don't ask I'm not
sure how it happened!) Every since then the computer will load the startup
screen, shut out and repeat all over. I decided to either put it in safe mode
and delete the program or reconfigure it back to its previous settings. I can
get to the safe mode screen but as soon as I do, I can't select any of the
options and the whole screen just stays frozen. Interestingly though my
keyboard is 'off' when it does this ( have tried to replug it etc..) It'd be
great if anyone could help me!

Have you tried Last Known Good? And, what was the program loaded?

I would try it, but actually my arrow keys won't move anywhere so I'm
basically stuck between it restarting or just staying frozen on the safe mode
screen. The program was Alcohol 120%.

You have a scanner or printer that is obsolete to your new computer I think.
trial and error you should figuire it out. They can also be bios differences
so get with a technician or someone free. But start with your last
installment of what I think is an external connection or you downloaded a
bios wrong.

Hi Shmooey,

Is your keyboard an USB type? If so, ensure you have "USB Legacy
Devices" or something similar enabled in the computer's BIOS. If you
are unsure on how to enter the BIOS of your computer then refer to
manufacturer's manual.
