Receiving an error at boot saying this file is missing or
corrupt. Windows XP.
Any idea how to fix?

.I would try replacing the file (ntoskrnl.exe), copying
it from another PC running WinXP, and placing it in the
same directory.

Thanks for the info. Tried to copy the file from the XP
Recovery Console and basically getting a message that
access in denied, file not found, etc. In researching I
did find that ther are 4 Reovery Console rules to work in
recovery. I checked to see if all were set to the
rules. One area "AllowRemovableMedia" was set at False
and should be True. Could this be a problem? If so, how
is it changed? Other research is leading to a problem
with the boot.ini file. I'm unable to access windows, so
all repairs are to be in DOS. Any advice would be
appreciated! Thanks.
