Windows right click menus problem!

S

Hi,

When I double click my C and D Drive nothing happens. A popup
window comes up said that:

Please go to Control Panel to install and configure system
components.

*This is due to the fact that the default double click
action is autoplay not open.
*Right click menus highlight and bold the autoplay action
on the top of open action.

My question is:

How do I change the items found in the right click menu?
How do I reassign a double click to open rather than it's
existing function?
Anyone expert can tell me the steps by steps to recover the
default settings back?

Thank you for your help.

Could be possible that you have accidentally placed an Autorun.inf file on
the root of both drives. You need check for that file and delete them.

1. Open My Computer - click Tools - Folder Options
2. Enable "Show hidden files and folders".
3. Right-click on C Drive and choose Open.
4. Look for that file on the root and delete it. Do the same for another
drive.
5. Restart or Log Off and Log In again for changes to take effect.

Hope this help, let us know!

As I already told you that Symptoms are due to Autorun.inf. Did you enable
Show Hidden Files and Folders? Also uncheck "Hide protected operating system
files (Recommended)" option. Read the article below:

Hope this help, let us know!
