Windows Reports Incorrect ATA Speed

Windows XP has my 120GB (ATA133) HD running in Multiword
2 mode. I have changed the IDE channel to "DMA if
available" and rebooted, but my HD still runs in MW2. I
tried to install Intel Application Accelerator, but I get
the blue screen when I reboot. (the blue screen is just
numbers, not "BOOT DRIVE INACCESSIBLE)

In fact all the IDE channels (2 channles) are running in
MW2. I have four devices connected to these channels, but
only 2 are MW2. (2 DVD drives; 2 120GB HDs)

Any suggestions?
