windows protection fault

I have tried to install the network printer on windows
2000,the installation went well but when i start printing
it gives me the following error message "function address
0x28b5cb1 caused a protection fault,(exception code
0x0000005)some or all property page may not be displayed
then there after windows hang

It sounds like the driver for the printer might be too
old or uncompatible with your OS. Go on the
manufacturers website and download the latest drivers for
your OS.
