Windows XP Not able to view printing preferences

I am using windows XP SP2, HP Laserjet Network printer. I am not able to view printing preferences. get the following error:
Function address 0xa32a5aa caused a protection fault. (Exception code 0x0000005) Some or all property page(s) may not be displayed.

Other users are able to view the printing preferences on their systems. Tried re-adding the printers, but no go.
Please help.

It might be worth totally uninstalling the drivers and then re-installing them direct from the latest HP drivers. Do you get the same crash if you view printing preferences via the control panel?
 
No, even from control panel (or printers and faxes) I get the same message.
