Windows Product Activation

T

thomas

I recently had to replace my motherboard. I replaced it
with a board that was very similar to the original so as
to not have too many problems when restarting the
computer (so I thought). The computer boots fine. When
I go to log in Windows tells me "This copy of Windows
must be activated with Microsoft before you can log on.
Do you want to activate now?" I click yes and then it
tells me that Window is already activated, click ok to
exit. This is a continuous loop. I can start the
computer is safemode without any trouble. I tried
completely reloading the OS and still I get the same
problem. This is very frustrating. PLEASE HELP!!!
Thank you.

Go through the activation process again: this time choose to dial up to
Microsoft in your area, DON'T do it via the 'net.

When you get to the voice message, don't bother typing in all the numbers:
just keep typing in 3 until you get asked if you want to talk to a real
person.

Now explain the problem and they will walk you through the fix. It's that
simple.
