windows product activation

hi,

When trying to log on, a message box appears with 'this copy of windows must
be activated with Microsoft before you can log on. Do you want to activate
Windows now?'

when I click on 'Yes' , another box appears with 'Windows is already
activated. Click OK to exit'

When I click 'OK'......it logs me off!!

Can anyone help?
