PowerToys are additional programs that developers work on after a
product has been released to manufacturing. They add fun and
functionality to the Windows experience.

Note:MS has taken great care to ensure that PowerToys operate as they
should, but they are not part of Windows and are not supported by
Microsoft. For this reason, Microsoft Technical Support is unable to
answer questions about PowerToys.

Have you tried it? I'd like to know if it makes some difference, having
already set clear type in the screen properties, effects.
(I'm on Win XP Pro)

It makes a lot of difference on my laptop. Not so much on my CRT desktop
screen. So on all LCDs it is really helpful. Finally, if you happen to
hook your laptop or computer up to a large LCD TV it's almost a must.

I installed ClearType Tuner back in January, and to tell you the truth I
don't recall how much of a difference it made to the readability of
text.

I wish they made "Image Resizer" for Windows 98 and/or ME. There
doesn't seem to be another program on the planet that can do _batch_
re-sizing of picture files.

I wish they made "Image Resizer" for Windows 98 and/or ME. There
doesn't seem to be another program on the planet that can do _batch_
re-sizing of picture files.
PIXresizer is a photo resizing program to easily create web and email
friendly versions of your images with reduced file sizes. The reduced
files are saved in a different folder, so your original images are not
altered at all. PIXresizer offers several different resizing methods to
choose from and can automatically recognize image sizes to calculate the
best fit. In addition, it can convert between image formats (JPEG, GIF,
BMP, PNG and TIFF), rotate images, convert to grayscale and resize
multiple images in batch mode. A great companion for webmasters and
digital photographers.

Options/Features
================
Simple four-step workflow
Easy 'Apply recommended' option to make it even more user friendly
works with single files as well as with multiple files all at once
option to convert between graphics formats (.bmp, .gif, .jpg, .png, and
..tif)
can be used to create thumbnails (takes one move on a slider)
smart ratio calculation (image proportions can be overruled by the user)
error logging (checks for corrupted images a. o.)

Ditto. Very easy to use. Works well.

I never knew Irfanview could do that. Took a little searching but I
found the setup for that feature under the Advanced options for batch
conversion. It will be enormously helpful for some projects I do.
Thanks. :)
