Windows Power management on a Toshiba

J

Jeff

On the Windows XP Display Properties/Screen Saver/Power screen, the
Power Management options on my Toshiba laptop are grayed out and I get a
popup that says:

"To adjust power management, close Microsoft Windows XP Power Options
and use Toshiba Power Saver"

I do not want to use Toshiba's Power controls which are more limited
than XP's. How do I regain control of the Power options and remove
Toshiba's interference?

Uninstall their power management application. I forget what it is called but
you should recognize it in add/remove programs.

This may be asking for trouble. The reason Toshiba has written
their own is that it matches your hardware.

Beware.
