Toshiba Power Saver

I recently just posted a message a few minutes ago about my hibernation
setting. When I logged onto my laptop (Which is a Toshiba) I clicked
on the Display setting >> Screen Saver >> Power, and when I click on
power, it brings up a message that reads: "To adjust power management,
Close Microsoft Windows XP Power Options and use Toshiba Power Saver.

When I click on the Toshiba Power Saver, it gives me an hour glass like
it is opening, then nothing happens. I'm getting a little bit
frustrated about what else to do, but I can't think of anything. And I
don't wan't to fool around with anything else on this PC, because I'm
afraid I'm going to mess it up.

Anyway, if anyone may have some solutions about how to fix this
problem, please post.

Thanks in advance,

-Eric R.

Try re-installing the powersaver utility (you may need to got to the
Toshiba site to find an updated one for your machine).

Ah,okay. I found it last night, and I tried installing it, but it came
up with this message saying "C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The
system file is not suitable for running MD-DOS and Microsoft Windows
applications. Chose 'Close' to terminate the application."

When I try to open the Toshiba Power Saver, I get the following message:
Cannot open, as "Toshiba Power Saver" is not running. In order to run
this,Please open "Power Options" in the control panel, then choose "Toshiba
power Saver" from the "Power schemes" list box in the "power schemes page.

When I go to the "power schemes" in "Power options" the only options I have
are laptop or home/office.

I know I used to have the toshiba power saver office in the past & an icon
in my bottom right hand corner of my page but something has changed this,
maybe SP2.

Can anyone help me?
