Windows position and view settings changed

Since downloading the latest security updates (before
SP2) I find that even though I have the box ticked in

tools,
folder options,
view,
advanced settings,
remember each folder's view settings,

when a window is closed and reopended the position and
view setting has changed, has anyone else had this
problem and found a cure for it?
 
Hi David,

WindowsXP will remember the settings of up to 400 folders, after that it
starts forgetting some. See this from MVP Kelly for a way to increase this
number:

Line 2, increase the folder view size limit to 8000
