I work with two computers, one at home, one at work. I don't always keep
pictures in the My Pictures folder so when I want to view them I use Windows
Explorer to get to the folder I have pictures in and then doulble click on
the picture I want to view. At work when I do that the picture loads into
Windows Picture and Fax Viewer. At home when I do that the picture just
displays but not in Windows Picture and Fax Viewer which is undesirable. How
can I get it so the pictures load in Windows Picture and Fax Viewer on the
home computer? BTW I have recently loaded SP2 on the home computer, could
this be the reason? Also, the home computer used to load the pictures in
Windows Pciture and Fax Viewer - I don't know for sure when it changed but it
very well might have been when I loaded SP2.

==================================
Right click an image file and from the menu...
choose...Properties / General tab / Change
button...select..."Windows Picture and Fax
Viewer" / OK / Apply / OK.

If that fails...try the following:

==================

go to...Start / Run and type:

"REGSVR32 SHIMGVW.DLL"
(without the quotes)(Yes, there's
a space between 2 and S)

Click...OK.

A dialog box should report the following:

"DllRegisterServer in SHIMGVW.DLL succeeded"
