Windows Picture and Fax Viewer

I use Ulead PhotoImpact and the Windows Picture and Fax
Viewer does not recognize these photos. Ulead PhotoImpact
saves the images as .ufo

When I view the picture in Windows Picture and Fax
Viewer, it tells me "No Preview Available". I have also
tried viewing the pictures via Filmstrip inside of "My
Pictures" folder and it tells me the same thing.

Is there a way that I can have Windows Picture and Fax
Viewer recognize these photos?

Windows Picture and Fax viewer will recognize your
images if you save them in a standard format...
..jpg, .png, .tif...

Try this...open one of your .ufo images in Photo Impact
and go to...File / Save As...choose .jpg.

I am not familiar with Photo Impact but it may have an
option to do a batch format conversion...

I really don't want to save them as .jpg or .gif because
I will not be able to work on the images again. A .ufo
image saves it kinda like a .psp does for Paint Shop
Pro. It saves all the layers and such so you can delete
and edit.

When you *Save As* in a new format it creates
a new file...it does not overwrite your originals.
You could even give the files new names.

At some point in the future you may wish to
open these files in a different program or
possibly share them with someone else and
they will not be compatible with other programs
as long as they are in the .ufo format.
