Windows or files won't open

I am runing windows 2000 and lately I can't get windows to
start or the files to open. When I click to open the
windows program or files my cursor appears and just sites
there and nothing happens, I have to reboot my computer to
get out.

Do you have a process on your processes tab on your task manager that's
bogarting the CPU and just locking things up? Look for something like that
and track down the problem process.
