windows of internet explorer keep popping up

Ever since I downloaded Internet Explorer 6 these windows
have just been popping up out of no where it doesnt show
where its coming from, like about up to 50 of them then
they just dissapear. The thing is this only happens when
im not online. Then when im online i got tons of pop ups
that come up from internet explorer. Does any one know
about this? And what could be causing it? Please help me

First eliminate any scumware.
