Windows Not Opening the Right Way

I subscribe to the NY Times Job postings. First I get an
e-mail from the Times telling me it found jobs. When I
double click on the job listing in the e-mail, instead of
a window opening up about the job, it minimizes and goes
to the bottom task bar. It didn't always do this. Why?
