Windows Movie Maker not saving... :(

I made this video in Movie Maker and when I click on Save
to CD everything is normal up until it gets to 37%...
then instead of going 37%..........10 minutes remaining
38%..........10 minutes remaining
40%...........9 minutes remaining

etc.

It sticks at 37% and every minute instead of gaining a
percentage it stays at 37% and the time remaining gets
longer. (i.e. 37%.....10 minutes...11 minutes...12
minutes etc.)

I let it get all the way to 100 minutes one time. It does
this EVERY Time.... Now the file size is only 75 MB and
the disc holds 700MB

So I tried Save to My Computer, well everything works
fine up until 65%. And then the exact same thing happens.
HOW DO I FIX THIS??? IT IS DRIVING ME INSANE BECAUSE I
DONT KNOW HOW ELSE TO SAVE IT AS .wmv FROM MOVIE MAKER.

i had the same problem what worked for me is renaming the source file to a single letter or digit then import the file, then when you save your project go back and rename the source file to it's original name hope this helps
