I am running MSN Messenger...Is there a way I can uninstall the standard
Messenger, so that it starts up on its own at logon time?

At the moment, I have to click 3 or 4 items to get rid of the standard
Messenger before MSNMessenger will start....

Any help is really appreciated.

You can but you will be removing some shared features such as remote
assistance, etc. You should just tell it to not start when Windows starts.
Open Windows Messenger, go to Tools, Options, General and take the check
mark off where it says "Automatically run Messenger...". I should also say
that it would help if you update Windows Messenger to v5 as well before you
do this.

Here is a site that may help
