I just recent upgraded Windows XP with SP-2. I can't say for sure, but I
think ever since the upgrade, Messenger (Ver 4.7.3001) won't automatically
sign in. I checked my settings and "Run Windows Messenger when Windows
starts" is checked. I also ran gpedit.msc from Start>Run and made sure it
would load on the computer configuration.

Any ideas? Thanks.

Run regedit.exe and point to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWAREPolicies\Microsoft\Messenger\Client
and make sure the dword "PreventAutoRun" has value 0

I checked and PreventAutoRun has a value of 0. Any other suggestions?
