I installed Windows Messenger 5, big disappointment, now
I´m not able to go directly to my hotmail account but to
Outlook. I want to unistall this great invention from
Microsoft and go back to my old Windows Messanger 4.7.

Any suggestions on how to do it??

Thanks.

Greetings,

To downgrade back to Windows Messenger 4.7, click Start, then Run, type (or copy/paste) the
following:
msiexec.exe /x {ABEB838C-A1A7-4C5D-B7E1-8B4314B10138}
and then click OK.

Then, you can reinstall Windows Messenger 4.7 from here:

After installing Windows Messenger 4.7, you'll need the MSN Add-In (Add-Ins are not supported
in Windows Messenger 5):

Ireally appreciate what you did for me. I was worried
about formating or reinstalling the whole thing.

It's good to know there are people willing to help
others, like you.

Thank you very much.
