Windows Messenger 4.7 - chat logs?

In Windows XP we are using Windows Messenger 4.7. Are the chats logged
anywhere? If yes, where?

Thanks.

Hi Mark,

If I'm reading this TechNet article correctly, it doesn't appear chats are
logged.

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/winxppro/maintain/intmgmt/24_xpmsg.mspx

Under the heading
How Windows Messenger Communicates with Sites on the Internet, you'll see
where logging is mentioned.

Hi,

Well I've upgraded my Windows Messenger to Version 7.5, so I'm not sure if
there had been a logging capability in V4.7.

But, in V 7.5, a user can automatically enable logging -- I'm not sure if
it's turned on by default -- and the logs are in C:\Documents and
Settings\UserName\My Documents\My Received Files unless the user specifies
another location.

Excerpt from the web page:
Logging: No logging takes place on the client.

Thanks.
