Is this only an issue with Windows Media Player or is this a system wide
issue with your CD Writer?
Aside from the above, open Explorer, right click the CD-Writer's drive,
select properties, go to the Recording tab and be sure "Enable CD Recording
on this drive" is selected; if not, select it and click apply and ok.
