windows media player

i dont know weather anybody can help me here but on msn messenger there is a
feature that allows you to let other people see what you are listening to
and my default is windows media player but every time i play it on wmp it
mucks up my sound and i wanted to know if you can change the default to be
another music player e.g itunes or real player.

Right-Click the icon for that file type, click Open_With, put a check in
"Always use...", and select the app you want to run with a doubleclick (or
browse to it)
