My Media Player won't start properly. I get the message:

Missing Entrypoint GetIUMS in MSDART.DLL

and have to kill the application thru Task Manager

You may have a corrupt MSDART.DLL file. You can scan your harddrive with
File Checker and see if it will replace the file for you.
Start/Run/Type CMD and press OK.
At the blinking cursor type sfc /scannow (space between the c and /) and press
Enter. Insert your WindowsXP CD. It will scan for missing or corrupt files
and
replace them for you. It may take 30 minutes for the full process.
Good Luck and Happy putering? :~)
