Windows Media Player Cannot find an Intetnet Connection

Hi guys,

I am having a little problem here. I just updated internet explorer to
beta 7 and updated Windows Media Player (WMP) to version 11. Now WMP
and explorer are not very cooperative. WMP does not recognize an
internet connection. Therefore I unable to stream anything! I checked
out some troubleshooting that windows provided, but was left without a
solid solution. I even uninstalled then reinstalled older versions of
media player, but this really seams to be a lingering problem for me.
Does anyone know why WMP is being so difficult? And more importantly,
what can I do to fix this.

Thanks,
Ben

You're running two beta programs and you want to know why something
doesn't work? "Beta" means software that isn't finished yet and is
still in the bug-checking phase. It is best practice to *not* run beta
software on production machines or on any machine which you are
unwilling to wipe.

And no, I'm sorry that I don't have any answers for you. You should post
questions about the beta IE7 here:

microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general

Here's a newsgroup for Windows Media Player. I don't know if a special
newsgroup was set up for the beta, but if there was I'm sure the
regulars in the Media Player newsgroup will know:

microsoft.public.windowsmedia.player
