I have Windows XP Home. Recently Windows Media Player has
been loading / starting at startup. I've checked
in "startup" program and its empty. Why is this
happening, and how can I fix it?

Hi,

Start/run msinfo32, expand the software environment and click on the startup
programs. Look here for a line that loads either the media player or a media
file. Make note of the startup location, as this is where you need to go to
remove the startup reference. If you are unsure of how to proceed, post back
with the startup location for further assistance.
