Windows Media Player 10

I have a retail registered and activated Windows Home Editition. When
atempting to install media 10 it seems to do fine until the configuration
portion then it simply says setup cannot continue....no reason no code no
nothing
 
It should create an install.log file - try to install and look for the *.log
created in the last day....
Other things to check: disable antivirus and other protection you might
have, check your user privileges (not sure in XP Home, though), empty user
temporary files and retry.
