windows ME to XP upgrade , lost sound

You probably loaded the sound drivers from CD.. they will not be XP
compatible.. go to www.creative.com and download XP drivers..

I upgraded the os last night and got all the h/w and
drivers sorted out cept the SB Live! sound card, I
reloaded the driver, checked all the menu's etc. Any
suggestions? (yes it worked fine up til then).

Thanks, but no luck, I dl'ed the driver and related
software for my product. Didn't work.

did you check under Control panel/sounds&audio devices to see if its not set to
mute ??
did you check under device manager/sound and etc to see you have any red X???
