windows mail

I have been having problems with my windows mail. It is corresponding with
my email account. The problem is keeping windows mail from popping up all
the time. It will pop up some times every 10 seconds and there will be
nothing in the inbox.
How do i keep windows mail from popping upby itself. I only want it to pop
up when I want to check my email. Not when it wants to check.

Check the settings under Tools Options for how often it checks mail.

I don't know what you mean by "popping up".
My Windows Mail has never popped up. It stays either open or closed until
I change that condition.
