succesful but when I go to send it trys to dial up. Then I unchecked the box
still does not work. keeps popping up to enter name and password/ what a
pain, cannot use any forms as they will not work to send email messages to
companies ect.

You unchecked *what* box? There are a lot of checkboxes in
Windows Mail. :)

Go to Tools, Accounts, select your mail account, Properties, Connection.
What does it show for connection?
You should leave that setting unselected, in which case Windows Mail
will use whatever connection IE uses.

Also, under Tools, Options, Connection, the first box should be checked,
and the second box unchecked.

If all that checks out, but you still have the dial-up problem, the account
may be corrupted. Delete the account, restart Windows Mail, then
recreate the account.

If after that you still get prompted repeatedly for the username and
password, test your password by logging in to your Suddenlink webmail.
If that works, it proves you have the correct username and password.
Then the next time you get that prompt from Windows Mail, click Cancel.
That should produce an error message. Right-click on your error message
copy, then paste it into a reply here.

Which antivirus are you running?
As a minimum, email scanning in the antivirus must be turned off,
although that may not be sufficient to eliminate all bad effects.
Email scanning in any antivirus must be disabled, for reasons
explained here:
