How do I get my mail from my old laptop running XP Outlook 2000 over to my
new laptop running Vista Home Premium Windows Mail?

There's two ways to do it: 1. Install Outlook, preferably version 2003
or later, under Vista. Windows Mail needs to use part of it to be able
to import messages directly from Outlook on another machine.
2. First, import the messages from Outlook to Outlook Express on
your old machine. Then import them from Outlook Express to
Windows Mail.

Bring along the .wab file if you want your old contacts list. After
you copy the files to a directory on the hard drive of your new
machine, but before you import them into Windows Mail, make
sure the copies are read-write instead of readonly.
