Windows Mail socket error 10053

Looks like thousands of others can't send mail either! All questions and no
answers!

If you can shed any light on what to do with socket error 10053, please do
so. Not sure if I should download some fix-it program. Would hope that
Microsoft would help but appears not.
 
Strange, I can see a great multitude of answers...

Do you get an error message when you try to send or receive? If so,
right-click on your error message, copy, then paste it into a reply here.
We can't do much troubleshooting without the complete error message.

You see that little + sign, next to the thousands of questions?

The irony is that "splitPea" probably won't see your answer either. :-(
