Not enough disk space/Not enough memory

I just migrated the e-mail (Outlook Express 6 (OE6)) from my old computer to
my new computer (using Windows Mail (WM)). I moved over 25 Gb of e-mail
messages in 40 folders and everyhting was just perfect, I could move from
folder to folder, view all messages, but then I closed Windows Mail and
opened it again and now it can NOT read any folder and shows that there is no
memory or enough disk space. I am working on a XPS 1330 Dell Laptop with 160
Gb in HD, 2 Gb in RAM and a 2.20 Ghz Core Duo processor. I did not have this
"capacity" problems with OE6 before. I can not imagine that WM can not work
with 25 Gb of mails as OE6 does. I need a patch or something to correct this
problem. Thank you, from México.

Not enough disk space/Not enough memory

Yes, 25 GB, that's about 10 years of e-mail storage. It is the e-mail of the
company where I work and believe me, it has helped me a lot to have available
all old messages. I do not think the size of all e-mails is a problem. If OE6
can work with them without any problem, why WM should have a problem if it is
a "powerfull" and "improved" version of OE6 (according to Windows team)?.

I keep looking in some other forums, this problem is also described as:
"Folders can not be displayed" and it seems that is also associated with
error 0X800C0148. It is not a new error, some of the messages that I have
read are from April 2007.

I hope some one can have a clue, by now, of what to do to fix this problem.

Windows Vista and Windows Mail are a nightmare.

Thank you for looking into this message.

Not enough disk space/Not enough memory

Master Brink (Shawn):

Thank for the link, I was very helpfull. Problem has been solved now.

Solution was to remove McAfee 100% from my HD and now WM is working fine.
However I believe OE6 is still better than WM, works faster.

I contacted McAfee and they claimed it was a mistake of Dell, I contacted
Dell and they claimed it was a mistake of Vista. So I decided to follow your
recomendations and the solution was there.

DO NOT TRUST whatever McAfee says about their software, it is not fully
compatible with Vista and WM.

Thank you again. I hope I can help someone in the future as you did with me.

Happy holidays from Mexico.

Thanks for your feedback. I wish I could have your statement:

"DO NOT TRUST whatever McAfee says about their software, it is not fully
compatible with Vista and WM"

emblazoned as a headline banner at the top of this newsgroup.
It would save a lot of headaches.
