I lost all my local folders that held and organized all my important emails.
I tried System Restore but that doesn't seem to have worked. How can I get
them back?

If Local Folders is still displayed, try clicking on the triangle beside it.

Technically, robertmiles answered my question except that I realize that it is not the folders that I need restored, it is the files in them. So, please, help with that. Thanks robertmiles, for helping me be more precise with my question bu the problem is still there.

You're welcome. I'm sorry I can't help with your restated problem.
I just remembered something else to try: For each of the folders, click
on the folder, then View, then Current View, then Show All Messages.
If you don't, already read messages are sometimes hidden.
