Transferring messages to local folders

I transferred my emails to Windows Mail from my XP computer to my new Vista
computer. In opening Windows Mail, I see there are two sets of folders, Local
Folders and Imported Folders. All my messages are now in Imported Folders
which is the wrong folder. Can I drag and drop to local folders or is there a
safer way to move them?

click on one header.
use CNTL+A to select all headers.
right click on the group and select MOVE.
