Are those folders present when you use Windows Explorer to go to
C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Mail\Local Folders\...

No, they simply disaper...
I think I really lost all.... no backups, now I regret....
In windows XP I would know how to find the folders dxb

I don't understand your reply, "They simply disappear."
Windows Explorer doesn't show anything?

It sounds like your Windows Mail message store structure is corrupted.
Try running the various repair functions in the WMUtil program:
http://www.oehelp.com/WMUtil

If no improvement, there is a very laborious way of resetting
Windows Mail. Follow this procedure:
http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/62560-windows-mail-problems.html
Scroll down to the section "PROBLEM TWO: How to Backup and Reset
Windows Mail"

Frankly, you'd be much better off to simply upgrade to Windows Live Mail:
http://download.live.com/wlmail
As part of its initial run, Windows Live Mail will import any Windows Mail
messages it finds, so it may recover some of the missing ones.

Thanks for your answer.
Now I have a little bit of hope... I've tried first the windows live mail
because I already had it... but some foldres came empty and others correctly
with emails.
But I found windows live mail too slowly.
Now I'll try to reset Window mail, already made backups.
Thanks for your help, at least I recover some emails in Windows Live Mail.
Thanks again

Hi Gary
I did reset Windows Mail and it worked well. I couldn't import files for the
import method (always a error message appeared), but I copied the fles to the
localfolder and everything wored out. Thanks.
But now tha I have 2 programs for email I would like your opinion, which one
is better, Windoes Mail or Windows Live Mail? They seem to me very similar,
but sometimes Windows Live Mail uses to much of memory cache that slows down
the program. Is it true?
Thanks again for your help.

I run both Windows Mail and Windows Live Mail side-by-side.
You can do the same if you need an extended evaluation period.
Windows Live Mail has more features, but some folks dislike its user
interface.

Your answer took me curious, how can I run both side-by-side? If I download
in Windows Mail for instance I can't do it again in Windows Live Mail unless
I have diferent accounts for which one. But I will explore more Windows Live
Mail.
Thanks

In order for both email programs to have access to all incoming emails,
both must leave a copy of the email on the server. Windows Live Mail
does so by default. But you will need to do the following in Windows Mail:
Go to Tools, Accounts, select your mail account, Properties, Advanced,
select "Leave a copy of messages on server." Depending on how
much server space your ISP allows, you may want to select one or
both of the two associated 'remove' options.

Thanks for your answer but I already solve my problem. And it was not a
problem that I've delete some emails by mistake. They all disappeared. My
Windows Mail message store structure was corrupted.
But thanks anyway because now I now where to go when I delete some file by
mistake
