What error message do you get exactly?

BTW, first try WEBmail logon at
https://secure.streamlinenet.co.uk/cp/index.php. This has fewer steps. You
use the same account name and password and it will verify if you account is
set up. Then we'll go for trying to access it from your preferred e-mail
client.

Let's simplify things...go here first.

This has fewer setting and it will tell if you have an account set up. Then
we'll try through POP.

Thanks for your hel[ this is the error and i can not login to the link
supplied nor do i really understand what is required here. Begining to feel
rather silly as i am sure it will be so simple eventualy
Account: 'mail.balloonprinter.net', Server: 'mail.balloonprinter.net',
Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR invalid command', Port: 110,
Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC91

Looks like your mail service is through a webhosting outfit.

In Windows Mail, go to Tools, Accounts, select the
mail.balloonprinter.net account, Properties, Servers. Make sure
the option "Log on using Secure Password Authentication" is not
checked.

If that is not the issue, which antivirus are you using?
