Windows Mail launches in Newsgroups

From IE7, I access a Blackboard online learning page. From here, I click on
a Newsgroup Reader. Last semester the Newsgroup would open and Icould read
and respond. Now it launched Windows Mail, and will not open Newsreader?
 
I have no idea which Newsgroup Reader you are talking about.
If it is something proprietary to that Blackboard group, you should
ask them for advice.
