Windows Mail is corrupting my emails

Hi there,

Hope someone has an answer to this.

I have now a lot of emails in Junk Mail and in one of my local folders where
I can't see the contens of the email anymore.

All I get is:

Message could not be displayed
Windows Mail encountered an unexpected problem while displaying this
message. Check your computer for low memory or low disk space and try again.

In the local folder it started with WM changed the text in some of the
emails, PLEASE HELP if you can....

Try accessing the messages in the local folders via WIndows Explorer and
click on the eml files and see if they open okay. If so, then the database
is probably corrupt. You can try renaming the directory where the message
store is located (default is %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows
Mail\) to Old Windows Mail. Then WinMail should start fresh. Then you can
use File | Import and point to the directory you renamed to get the messages
back.

You might also check Event Viewer for ESENT errors. If you get "Access
Denied" as one of them, the the directory permissions for the message store
are messed up.
