Windows mail import

my previous laptop was using Microsoft outlook. The motherboard fried so I
bought a new one. This one is using Vista and the the windows mail software.
I am unable to import a .PST file into windows mail for my contacts and
archived emails. Can anybody help me? (e-mail address removed)

You can only import a .pst file, if Outlook is installed on the Vista
computer.
Did your new computer come with the Office 2007 trial?

Or, on a XP computer with Outlook installed, import the Outlook data into
Outlook Express.
Then you can copy the .wab & .dbx files, and import them into Windows Mail.

Do you still have the Outlook install CD?
Assuming it is the 2003 version or later, it should install on
your Vista laptop.
