How can I move a large number of emails to a seperate folder and save them as
txt files to open with WORD rather than one message at a time?

You can select all the messages and then go to Message | Combine and decode
and that will give you one big text file instead of many small ones.

You can also rename all the eml files to txt, but it will give you the
original source code for the message and not the rendered message.

My OEX program will convert the messages to plain text only
